HELPING PATIENTS IN THE
DANBURY AREA

Through the generosity and support of local people the Patient Involvement Group has been able to purchase various pieces for medical equipment not normally available through the NHS.

Portable equipment is based at Danbury Medical Centre where it can be made available to Health Visitors and Community Nurses for use with patients throughout the area. Other equipment is based either at Danbury Medical Centre or at Wyncroft Surgeries.

Recent purchases include:

2009	A Spirometer for monitoring patients respiratory function
	An INF machine to test warfarin levels in the blood

2008	Dermoscope + Digital Camera
	Molemate - Complete System
	For early detection of potential skin problems such as cancer, digitally recording and monitoring the results

2007	Doppler + 2 Probes
	12 Lead ECG System This is able to detect and monitor leg ulcers

2006	INR Monitor (Blood Clotting Monitor)
	Automated Defibrillators (2)

2005	ECG Monitor
	Syringe Driver
	Digital Camera for Community Nurse Team
	Blood Pressure Monitors (2)

2004	Hyfrecator (for minor electrosurgical operations)
